Early Modern Culture Online (EMCO) is an interdisciplanary open-access peer reviewed electronic journal. EMCO aims at publishing original research on Renaissance and Early Modern culture, broadly construed, from a wide variety of approaches.
We invite edited studies on thematically related research in all areas of Renaissance and Early Modern literature, art history, language, philosophy and musical research.
The important themes and cultural expressions discussed, and the wider relevance of Early Modern art forms and cultural statements in contemporary society, turn the series into a valuable resource for specialists as well as for the general reader.
The journal is biannual. The summer issue is open for all topics related to the Early Modern studies. The second edition is a Christmas Special and will have a dedicated topic. Topic for this issue will be announced one year in advance.
EMCO is published by the Early Modern Research Group.
